Supporting K-2 Writers & Emerging Bilinguals



In this interactive session, K-2 teachers will gain tool and strategies to support K-2 writers, including Emerging Bilingual students.

Major questions we will answer:

  • What are the components that students need in order to become SKILLED WRITERS?
  • What do the K-2 TEKS expect students to be able to do in the area of writing?
  • How can we support students with writing using TEXT EVIDENCE and becoming STAAR-ready?
  • How can I support my emerging bilingual writers?
