New Science TEKS Guide Training
Grades 3-5



Let's get ready for implementation of the new science TEKS in school year 2024-2025 by exploring the TEA TEKS Guide for your grade level.

Important Session Information:


Are you ready to teach the new science TEKS? TEA's TEKS Guide will help you get prepared for full implementation of the new science TEKS in 2024-2025. The purpose of the TEKS Guide is to help teachers understand each student expectation in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and to provide valuable resources to support instruction.

By the end of this session, you will be able to identify key components of the TEKS Guide:

  • Detailed explanations of the TEKS
  • Demonstrated proficiency for each TEKS
  • Teacher-level further explanations
  • Teacher-level glossary support 
  • Supporting research
  • Recurring themes and concepts alignment 

Each participant will receive a bound copy of the new science TEKS and side-by-side documents.
