Dia de los Desmos: From Calculator to Classroom
For Mathematics Teachers in Grades 3 - 12

Utilizing the Desmos Graphing Calculator to the Fullest Potential

Important Session Information:

Region 17 is excited to announce the return of our friend, David Henson from ESC Region 11 for a follow up session from last year to share his expertise in all things Desmos!

Do the features of online graphing calculators and activities seem a little scary? Applications like Desmos are dynamic platforms that allow and encourage student creativity visually in mathematics. This session will give participants a look into utilizing Desmos Calculator and Desmos Classroom activities in a class setting. In the morning, we will explore features on the calculator that include creating dynamic learning opportunities for students. In the afternoon, we will investigate the versatile platform Desmos Classroom and all of the new features that are freely available to teachers and students.

You do not want to miss this dynamic learning opportunity!
