Educating and Empowering Through Digital Stories

Everyone has a story to tell but sometimes we don't feel like we have a voice in which to tell it. In this interactive session, learn how powerful the digital storytelling technique can be in the classroom in giving all students a voice. Participants will get to experience examples of personal digital stories as well as how they can be implemented in the classroom. By the end of the workshop, participants will be well-versed in how to create their own digital stories and will leave with the tools needed to use this technique in the classroom.

Please bring a laptop or other device as well as photos to use in the creation of a digital story.

Session will be presented by Dr. Karen Alexander, Dr. Kyle Roberson and Dr. Melanie Schmitt.
