Summer of Wonder Curriculum Conference
K-12 Science featuring the Amoeba Sisters



Bring your staff to our 2024 Summer Curriculum Conference.  We will have sessions for you and your team to choose throughout the day.  We will have sessions focused on Core Content, STAAR, TEKS Resource, Special Populations, and more.

Important Session Information:


Get ready for the K-12 Science Summer of 'Notice and Wonder' Mini-Conference! 

This will be a full day of learning for all level science teachers and will feature the following experts:

  • The Amoeba Sisters will be LIVE to present a keynote for all and breakout session for Biology teachers
  • Michelle Sedberry, TEA STEM Coordinator will teach us about engineering practices in our new TEKS and provide state-level STEM updates. 
  • JoAnn Bilderback, TEA Content Director for Assessment will deliver a virtual presentation on updates to the science STAAR for 2024-25 and beyond.
  • TEKS Resource System Elementary and Secondary Specialists will deliver virual breakout sessions to highlight 2024-25 updates to the platform
  • Local informal science education opportunities will be highlighted
  • Breakout sessions available on the new TEKS Guides for science
