Teaching CER (Claim, Evidence & Reasoning) in the Secondary Science Classroom
Important Session Information:
Teachers will be introduced to the reasoning for and the relevance of teaching the CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) method in the secondary science classroom. Teachers will learn how to introduce the CER method to students in their classrooms and how to use a variety of resource materials to create their own CER activities. Teachers will also learn how to address common student misconceptions and how to establish a grading rubric. Teachers will leave with an editable Google Slide presentation and both digital and print materials for successful implementation in the classroom.
