This session is geared to develop the knowledge and skills of teachers in Domain 1: Planning and Preparation and Domain 3: Classroom Instruction of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework and PDAS Domain I: Active, Successful Student Participation in the Learning Process, Domain II: Learner-Centered Instruction, Domain III: Evaluation and Feedback on Student Progress, Domain IV: Management of Student Discipline, Instructional Strategies, Time and Materials, Domain V: Professional Communication. Classroom management remains the number one issue for ALL teachers, but it doesn’t have to be! Learn how to have a positive and proactive approach to classroom management where discipline does NOT have to be an issue. This session will offer participants strategies that will allow them to have classrooms that are orderly, respectful, fun, engaging and motivating! The scientific-based research used in this session is from Randy Sprick, Harry Wong, Barbara Blackburn, Robert Marzano, Marcia Tate, and Willard Daggett and states students learn best when they are focused, engaged and can relate the learning to real-life application thus increasing motivation and academic success.
