Texas Reading Academy: Let's Make and Take!



Have you completed or are you currently enrolled in the Texas Reading Academy? If so, join us for our make and take workshop!

During this session, K-3 teachers will be provided with hands-on lessons and activities that align with TEKS standards and the Texas Reading Academy.

In addition, all participants will receive resources and materials to immediately use in the classroom to support all learners.

Our session will cover topics from the following Reading Academy modules:

  • Science of Teaching Reading
  • Establishing a Literacy Community
  • Using Data to Inform Instruction
  • Oral Language and Vocabulary
  • Phonological Awareness
  • Pre-Reading Skills
  • Decoding, Encoding, and Word Study
  • Reading Fluency
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Written Composition
