Handing Over the Keys: Encouraging Students to Take Ownership of Their Learning

Student ownership of learning is essential for reaching the highest levels of understanding and achievement.  As teachers, we must use presume competence and use practices that help students find their academic voice.

This workshop will focus on on low-prep, high-yield instructional practices based on the principles of HOVER (higher-order, options for learners, academic voice, student engagement, and relationships).  With some accommodations and adjustments, we can ALL "drive" towards our goals!
