Every spring, there are "Just in Time" or "STAAR Crunch" workshops to get us ready for what's going to be assessed. To borrow a great mindset, I think it would be best if we start out with that end in mind. Each time we prepare a lesson, select a text, or upload a video, we should be asking ourselves, "How will this impact what students should know and be able to do?"
In order to prepare ourselves for next year, we will be working with:
- The 3 Reporting Categories
- The Seven Strands
- Your class's High-Priority Standards
- Your data
to plan for the upcoming year of what skills need to be scaffolded, what needs to be spiraled, and what needs differentiation.
