STEM: K-12 State-wide STEM Leadership Training
This session is for campus and district level administrators including content specialists.



The Texas Education Agency is rolling out a 12 hour immersive state-wide professional development to prepare campus administrators STEM leaders to shape, support, and sustain STEM initiatives within their district or campus. Participants will learn by doing, engaging directly in the instructional approaches most critical to the STEM endeavor: project-based learning, design-based challenges, and computational thinking. The training consists of one face-to-face day (6 hours) some pre- and post-work for the additional six hours of credit. Working backwards from a model vision for STEM education, the session culminates with leaders collaboratively planning for real-life implementation of STEM programming.  


Important Session Information:


**This training will used a flipped model where we will meet together on August 18th only. There will be some pre-work and some follow-up activities that are required in order to fulfill the other six hour of training.
