Teaching Remembrances and Required Observations
Social Studies Instruction for Texas Holidays, Honor Months, and Remembrances



Our Social Studies Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and the Texas Education Code require social studies teachers to provide instruction on a number of official remembrances, observations, and holidays. This Canvas, self-paced course will provide resources, tools, and strategies to plan for instructions of this element of our TEKS.
