Online Gifted and Talented 30 Hours Foundation Course
December 9, 2019 - January 31, 2020



G/T Foundations Part 1 - Nature and Social/Emotional Needs (6 hours credit)

G/T Foundations Part 2 – Identification and Assessment (6 hours credit)

G/T Foundations Part 3: Depth, Complexity, and Differentiation (6 hours credit)

G/T Foundations Part 4: Instructional Strategies (6 hours credit)

G/T Foundations Part 5: Advanced Products and Performances (6 hours credit)

This online course fulfills requirements for all 30 hours of the 5-day foundations training for teachers of the gifted and talented. It is designed to be part of the entire 30-hour training mandated by Texas Administrative Code, and should not be used as a 6-hour GT update. This professional development session is open to educators whose districts are members of the Region 17 Gifted and Talented Cooperative.



Important Session Information:


After you have registered for the course, we will create your spot in Canvas, the online platform where you will take the course. Your course facilitator will email you on December 9, 2019 with instructions on how to proceed with the course. You will work at your own pace and have until Friday, January 31, 2020 to complete the course. If you do not receive a course invitation on December 9th, please check your junk mail filter or email Greg Reeves - greeves@esc17.net .
