BLOCK Fest Trainer of Trainers
Building Learning!

BLOCK Fest is a research-based early math and science learning event for children ages 8  months to 8 years and their families.  Research tells us that children's knowledge of math concepts when they enter school is a strong predictor of later achievement, even stronger than early reading ability.  Many children leave Kindergarten without a foundational understanding of number and continue to lag behind their peers in math achievement.   Come explore the relationships between block play and early math and science. Dress comfortably and bring a pair of socks as we will spend part of our day on the floor exploring 5 different  block stations.  Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the benefits of block play as it relates to emergent mathematics.
