ELIITE: Early Mand Training for Students with Autism

Many early learners with autism and other disabilities struggle with the most basic form of communication and ability to request needs, wants, and help.

"Manding" is a communication skill that is a learner's ability to request consistently and appropriately. It is the foundation of communication initiation and teaches learners that communication is a rewarding behavior.

Participants will learn how to develop and embed a manding program into their traditional curriculum in order to help learners develop basic functional communication.
