The Sound of Sentences

The trick to effective writing is to create something more intelligent and thoughtful than speech, but by crafting good sentences, make it sound just as natural as when we talk. In this workshop, we will practice strategies and activities aimed at helping high school students look at, listen to, and experiment with their own sentences, and by doing so, develop better control over their writing. Grades 9 – 12
