Creating Independence with Reading Workstations in Grades K-2

How do you start off the school year? Join us in planning to start the year off on the right foot in establishing a foundation for a successful year in reading stations. We will focus on planning how to explicitly model and teach young learners the procedures, routines, behaviors, and expectations that are necessary for students to work independently in reading stations, therefore freeing the teacher to work with small groups of students. In addition, we will discuss creating a classroom environment in which students are intrinsically motivated, helpful, solve problems and are connected, allowing each student to reach their optimal level of development and success.
