Supporting ELLS with Disabilities

How does learning English as a student with a disability impact his ability to access and progress in gen. curriculum?

During day one, participants will understand the unique needs of English learners with a disability and how a lack of proficiency in English impacts their ability to access and make progress in the general curriculum.

Day two will build on the information from day one. Participants will learn the additional steps that should be taken to ensure an appropriate IEP is developed for a student learning English.

This training is designed to target students with disabilities served in general education settings, but will assist teachers with all struggling learners in all settings.

This training will be streamed to each Education Service Center.  Participants will participate via Zoom videoconferencing.
