TEKS Resource System 101
Trinity Christian School



This PD is an introduction or re-introduciton to the TEKS Resource System, its components, its purpose, and its navigation.

Important Session Information:


The Math, Reading Language Arts, and Science Teachers of grades 3-12 of Trinity Christian School will be taken through the TEKS Resource System to navigate, explore, analyze, and discuss the components of the TEKS Resource System:

  • TEKS Clarification Document (TCD)
  • Enhanced TEKS Clarification Document (ETCD) *Math Only
  • Vertical Alignmnet Document (VAD)
  • Year At a Glance (YAG)
  • TEKS Verification Document (TVD)
  • Instructional Focus Document (IFD)
  • Formative Assessments
  • Unit Assessments
  • Resources
Educators will learn how to effectively access and utilize the Year At a Glance and Instructional Focus Document to assist them in instructional planning.
