Taking Flight: Harnessing Drones for Educational Innovation



Explore the innovative world of drone technology and its transformative potential in education. 

Important Session Information:


Join us for an exciting journey as we explore the innovative world of drone technology with Pitsco Education and SkillsUSA Texas. This hands-on workshop is designed to equip educators with all you need to know about how to take flight in your classroom, after-school program, competition, and more. 

From FAA regulations and career exploration to mapping and hands-on flying, you will leave this workshop with TRUST certification with the FAA and ready to get started! No prior experience needed.

Each participant will get flying experience with three types of drones: DroneMaker Kit, Echo Drone and DJI Mini 4 Pro.

*Any educator intending to teach with a drone >250g outdoors must also be Part 107 Certified with the FAA - information on this certification will also be provided. 

LOCATION: This workshop will take place at the Reese Center in Lubbock - 1211 Davis Dr.
