Twice Exceptional Students- 6 hour GT update



 Join this professional learning opportunity to support our twice-exceptional learners.

“Twice-exceptional learner means a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment,(TEC 29.121), and who also gives evidence of one or more disabilities as defined by federal or state eligibility (IDEA, 2004) (300.8) (Section 504)"

  • Understanding the characteristics associated with twice-exceptional learners
  • Developing an understanding of specific needs associated with twice-exceptional learners
  • Examining assessment and identification processes for twice-exceptional learners
  • Understanding of service design options for the twice-exceptional learner
  • Examining curriculum and instruction for the twice-exceptional learner
  • Exploring family and community resources for the twice-exceptional learner
