BILINGUAL/ESL: 2017-18 English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) Training for Content Area Teachers



This training will teach participants how to use the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) and the Proficiency Level Descriptors (PLDs) in the content areas to improve academic instruction for English language learners.  School districts shall implement ELPS as an integral part of each subject in the required curriculum. The English language proficiency standards are published along with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each subject in the required curriculum.
