The Magic of Music and Movement
Seats Filled: 261 / 500
Fee: $175.00
Location:Other, TBD

Important Breakout Information:
This session will reaffirm the use of music in the classroom by showing how, when combined with movement, it can be a vital tool in the education of children. To illustrate this, we break music down into three essential elements – Rhythm, Repetition & Melody – and discuss how each part affects us individually. The conclusion is that when music and movement are combined, children are not only more likely to participate, but more importantly, will retain more information for a longer period. Teachers will learn how to combine their music with other media or aids, such as children’s literature, instruments, manipulatives, etc., as well as, challenging them to create short piggyback songs to service the needs of their unique classroom environment.
