Meal Patterns (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack for Pre-K, K-5, 6-8, 9-12)

This course will review NSLP, SBP, ASCP, CACFP Pre-K, CACFP Snack Meal Patterns and provide an overview of Offer vs. Serve and reimbursable meals and how it applies in the listed programs.

Learning Objectives:

Review updates for SY 23-24 meal pattern requirements
Describe the USDA meal pattern requirements for lunch and breakfast
Describe the USDA meal pattern requirements for supper and snack
Identify required meal pattern offerings for PreK students
Review the legislative process and Proposed Rule for school meal standards
Offer versus Serve (OVS)
