STEMulating Design Challenges in Science Grades 9-12
STEMulating Design Challenges in Science Grades 9-12
Important Session Information:
Teachers will learn about STEM fundamentals and how to use the engineering design process to foster students' ability to think critically and solve problems while providing opportunities for students to work collaboratively and practice communication skills. We will explore ways to implement TEKS-aligned design challenges in a high school science or CTE classroom and consider all the tools and resources needed for successful implementation. Using the STEMulating Design Challenges workbook, we will investigate real-world design challenges, consider associated STEM careers, and learn how to integrate and support the engineering design process in the classroom.
