Secondary RLA: From Bell Ringers to Exit Tickets with the TEKS Resource System



Grades 6-12

Important Session Information:


The TEKS Resource System has a lot of parts to navigate: Guiding Questions, Performance Assessments, RLA Resources, Unit Assessments, Clarification Documents, and Vertical Alignment Documents!  It can be overwhelming without a guide to take you through.

In this workshop, participants will understand how to

  • Read and Understand an Instructional Focus Document,
  • Break Down a Performance Assessment into expectations and instructional practices,
  • Create and View a Unit Assessment that will guide upcoming units' instruction, and
  • Plan a unit's instruction starting with objectives, to bell ringers, to exit tickets, and all activities in-between.
