Road Map for the Traveling Teacher: Strategies & Tips for Itinerant BVI & DHH Specialists
Specialist Teachers & other Certified Specialists for students with Blindness, Visual Impairments &/or Deaf, Hard of Hearing have important roles in our districts. Their roles are also quite unique, involving significant travel time to multiple campuses and districts. Participants of this workshop will receive research-based best practice strategies & tips for organizing & managing itinerant services. Also included will be an overview of the typical roles & responsibilities of the itinerant specialist teacher. Attendees will be given opportunities to network, sharing strategies of their own successes & those of their students with sensory disabilities.
