Behavioral and Mental Health Interventions for Classrooms and Campuses

Looking for strategies to respond to the rising behavioral and mental health needs in our schools?  Join us for a workshop taught through a trauma-informed and culturally-responsive lens for all educators.

Participants will explore evidence based interventions rooted in the brain-based science of mindfulness.  Mindfulness is the study and practice of self awareness and self-management. It is rooted in the practice of being present and learning to become less overly reactive and/or overwhelmed by what is going on around us. Research has found that mindfulness can physically change brain structures, and that the practice of mindfulness can improve multiple areas of health and well-being, including:  Anxiety, Depression, Mental Clarity, Focus, Compassion, Memory & Mood

Come and learn preventive and responsive strategies that can boost student success through interventions that teach empathy, self-regulation, and social & personal competencies, with a focus on self & community care, the science of mindfulness & classroom implementation.
