T-TESS Certification for Administrators

The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System utilizes many tools that help support teacher instruction and student performance. T-TESS is intended to promote a growth mindset in educators by providing a structure to self-reflect and receive ongoing, meaningful feedback from educational practitioners. During this three day training, appraisers will build their understanding and skill set with the T-TESS appraisal process. They will move from the procedural to conceptual understanding of how the domains, dimensions, descriptors and performance levels of the T-TESS rubric apply to the appraisers' roles and responsibilities.

At the conclusion of the training, participants will be required to complete an online assessment in order to be certified to appraise teachers. In addition, appraisers must complete one of the following:  Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD).
