Science Curriculum Planning and STAAR Data Dig: High School



As a result of our learning, High School science teachers will collaboratively lesson plan using TEKS Resource System documents, analyze Biology STAAR data and create assessment items for student practice of STAAR 2.0 new item types. 



Important Session Information:


Collaborate with Region 17 High School science teachers to unpack the TEKS for upcoming units of study. We will examine Performance Assessments and create Know/Show charts and lesson plan outlines from the instructional focus documents (IFDs) for these units. We will dig into 2022 Biology STAAR data,  dissect the troublesome TEKS, identify strong supporting activities and resources and create assessment items that will model STAAR 2.0 new item types.
