The TEKS Resource System has created revised YAGs for the 2022-2023.  In some cases days have been adjusted and in other cases, the unit placement has been adjusted.  This was all done to produce a more balanced time commitment to literary and nonfiction text study along with an enhanced opportunity for cross-genre reading and writing skill practice. 

Educators will be taken through the rationale of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade YAG revisions.  Also, resources and planning templates that encourage learning objectives, reading and writing connections, word study, and graphic organizers aligned to the Performance Assessments will be shared electronically.

 The focus of this day will be to plan the 3rd Six Weeks units as well as the beginning of the second semester.
