Charting the Course for the Future
Exploring Careers for 8th & 9th Graders



Region 17 and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) invite you to “Chart Your Course for the Future”.  This event will provide 8th through 12th grade students with disabilities, their parents, and teachers with post-secondary Transition planning information related to Guardianship/Support Decision Making, Social Security benefits, IEP involvement, and career exploration.


Important Session Information:


Exploring Careers (Charting the Course for High School), will provide 8th-9th grade students with hands on activities to explore careers, their IEP documents, and life after high school.  Local TWC-VR staff will be present at the event to answer questions about VR services including Pre-Employment Transition Services.
