Important Session Information:


Although dysgraphia has always been identified as a 'related disorder' in the Texas Education Code it is still fairly recent in its recognition as a learning difficulty. This session will address various aspects of dysgraphia to include

  • Knowledge as to the skills required to be able to write
  • Texas' guidance on the definition, characteristics, and additional consequences of dysgraphia
  • Informal measures for determining a students at-risk
  • Understand procedures for the evaluation of dysgraphia for students attending Texas public and charter schools and
  • "Best Practices" in instruction for students with dysgraphia.
