Giving educators innovative ways to design and deliver engaging learning experiences every day.

Important Session Information:

AM: Are you looking for daily instructional tools to support all learners in all subject areas?  Join us for this Discovery Education Experience Overview session to learn how Discovery Education provides Professional Learning, Instructional Supports, and Content Connections for all educators.  We will explore features such as Interactive quizzes, SOS Instructional Strategies, Ready-to-Use Activities, and embedded scaffolds  that are multimodal and multilingual to support your daily classroom instruction.

PM: ReDISCOVER Discovery Education for Student Engagement, Literacy, & Science.

Engagement: Ready to take your TEKS to the next level?  Come explore how Discovery Education’s SOS Instructional Strategies, Studio, and Interactive Video Quizzes will have your students begging for more class time!  Your Quicklist and My Content folders will be full of your faves by the end of this session.

Literacy: With TEA's Reading Academy Initiative in place, educators need support on using qualitative digital literacy resources to match the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) practices. This session will help you identify qualitative texts from Discovery Education and guide you to research-based instructional strategies and aligned turn-key activities.

Science:Are you looking for a balance between screen time and hands-on?  In this session we will explore Discovery Education's newest K-5 Science Partner, Mystery Science.  Mystery Doug will guide our journey through TEKS aligned lessons to promote student-led curiosity and provide hands-on learning experiences using real-world materials.  Who knows?  One of your students might have a question that Mystery Doug could explore for a future lesson!
