Comprehensive Communication Needs for All Early Childhood Students and Educators

Communication is at the core of our efforts as educators and service providers. Through an evidence-based lense, participants will describe considerations for communication when working with students and families: impact of language within educational roles and responsibilities, the role of communication and language for assessments and intervention and family-centered connections. Attendees will walk away re-engaged, re-energized and refueled to support the communication and humanly needs of students and families.

  • Participants will identify the role of communication within professional roles and responsibilities.
  • Participants will describe native language influences for Language Learners within assessment and intervention.
  • Participants will identify and describe the impact of communication to propel Family-Centered practices.
  • Participants will describe and discuss communication strategies for  early childhood educators.
