Secondary math teachers in grades 6-8 will enjoy a day of hands on activities to help students discover meaning in mathematics. The goal is to help students get a physical sense of a problem as they move from concrete to representational to abstract thinking. Teachers will also leave with samples of interactive journaling ideas for implementation.
This is the first of a two-day workshop. It is not necessary to attend both days!
