I Heart Fluency: Strategies to Engage Readers, Writers and Mathematicians
K-3 Reading Language Arts and Math



Do you teach RLA and Math? If so, this is the workshop for you!

We will look at what it means to be fluent in reading, writing, and basic facts. Teachers will learn ways to support students in becoming fluent readers, writers, and mathematicians!

During this session, teachers will learn strategies to help students with:

  • Reading with expression
  • Automatic word recognition
  • Reading at the phrase and sentence level
  • Orthographic mapping sight words so they become automatic
  • Developing fluency of thought in writing
  • Developing fluency with basic math facts
