ADOS-2 Test Kit Training (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)

The ADOS-2 is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of social communication and play used with individuals suspected of having Autism. The ADOS-2 can be used to evaluate individuals at different developmental levels and chronological ages, from toddlers to adults, from individuals with no speech to those who are verbally fluent.  This workshop will use a lecture format and video demonstrations to introduce the basic principles of administering and scoring the ADOS-2 and provides an essential step toward competence in using the ADOS-2 in everyday practice.  Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of Modules 1-4 and/or Toddler Module, in addition to experience observing and scoring assessments.  This workshop is designed for special education evaluation staff with prior background in Autism and formal testing such as LSSP's, Diagnostician's, Speech Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists.

This 3-day, face-to-face, workshop will provide an overview of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) to assist with assessing and diagnosing Autism across ages, developmental levels and language skills.
