504/SpEd Legal Updates
Section 504 and Special Education: Best Practices, Lessons Learned & Legal Updates

Andrea Gulley  with Walsh Gallegos will provide updates and guidance on 504 program requirements and best practices when coordinating with Special Education and communicating with parents/families.

With an intentional focus on how to effectively and legally lead a Section 504 program, attendees will learn tips for working collaboratively with parents and families, review best practices for documenting student progress, and learn strategies for difficult conversations and meetings.  This engaging training will include special education and Section 504 case law updates and interactive case studies.  Attendees will leave this session better prepared to tackle real life Section 504 and special education scenarios, and more confident when making decisions in situations with potential legal consequences.
