STEM: Teacher Field Trip
Registration ends July 15th!

This field trip, hosted by Robert Scott, County Extension Agent, will be an opportunity for teachers to see STEM in action.  This first field trip will focus on all things Ag! From the land to the water to the food on your plate, it is designed to be a day of learning that will help teachers make connections for their students when they return to the classroom.  Wear comfortable walking shoes! Priority attendance will be given to our STEM Cohort members.

Important Session Information:

Join us as we travel to several venues across the South Plains to see first-hand how industry depends upon a future workforce that is creative problem-solvers with the ability to integrate their knowledge of science, engineering, technology, and mathematics. Hear from industry professionals that help debunk myths and strengthen the public's perceptions of agriculture and technology as it relates to their every day lives. This day will start at 7:45 and end at 5:00 pm so we can learn as much as possible. A digital scrapbook (or other product of your choice) will be created as we explore. Wear your walking shoes and come learn with us! (**Transportation in rented vans will be provided so we can learn together and discuss our experiences as we transition between venues. Please be prepared to participate the entire day.) Update: We will return to the ESC for a 90 minute lunch break and a mobile lab will be here for you to explore during that time. Lunch will not be provided so you may go get something or bring a lunch to enjoy.
