Science: Anchoring the Learning
This workshop will be a make-and-take session. Our guest co-presenter, Chelsea Bullock, 8th grade teacher from Lubbock ISD, will share her expertise in helping content stick with visual representations of the content.
Important Session Information:
Word walls and anchor charts are two of the most effective learning tools in a science classroom. In this workshop, we will learn what word walls and anchor charts are, how to effectively build/create them, and how to treat them as an indispensable learning tool. One our finest Region 17 middle school teachers will also showcase the anchor charts that she has used in her classroom and be on hand to help guide us as we create some of our own. You will walk away with ideas and resources to start your year off on the right foot!
