Get Your Shelf Together!
Book Talks & Curation

Combination of Book Talks and Curation.

Important Session Information:

"How do I conduct a Book Talk?"

"How do I know which list of books to pull from?

"How do I know the book recommendation is a safe choice for my students?"

These, and other questions just like it, will be answered by our panel of veteran librarians:

  • Laurie (Bruns) Davis of Frenship ISD
  • Stephanie Jones of Slaton ISD
  • Kristi Starr of Lubbock ISD
  • Lacy Sage of Roosevelt ISD

Participants will learn from those who have done this for year, those who've learned the dos and the don'ts. Be prepared to ask questions, discuss topics, and learn a whole book-load! If you've found yourself in a situation where you weren't quite sure how to proceed, this is the workshop for you.

Three hours of credit will be awarded for the morning session.  An additional three hours is available with completion of "homework" from this session.
