Serving Students with Visual Impairment in All Instructional Settings
A Sensory Simulation Experience to Better Understand the Needs of Students with VI



This session is applicable to all Educators who serve even one student with visual impairment and/or with multiple disabilities including visual impairment.  Attendees will receive go-to information to effectively work with students who have visual impairment, in all school environments, including best practices, accommodations, what to expect and what to look for, facts on low vision and blindness, tips, tools, and resources.  Whatever your instructional setting - - dual credit, advanced placement, inclusion, resource, self-contained, gym, electives, extra-curricular - - this session is for you because you either have a student with visual impairment or you will one day.


Important Session Information:


This in-person workshop provides attendees with sensory simulation experiences designed to better understand the educational and social needs of students with blindness/visual impairments (BVI).  Join veteran Certified Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) Pam Dalton and Linda Hinkle for a guided, fun, and enlightening morning during which participants will learn insights and strategies for improving educational services for students with BVI in all instruction settings.  This session benefits gen ed and sped school personnel.
