Creating Communication Opportunities



This workshops is designed for staff serving students with complex access and communication needs and will address evidence-based practices for improving instructional practices in the areas of differentiated instruction and social communication. This session will address methods for creating communication opportunities, the importance of core vocabulary and outline teaching strategies. District or SSA staff are encouraged to attend in teams.

You CAN be the difference maker for your students! 


Important Session Information:


This session will recommend strategies for staff to use when interacting with students with complex access and communication needs. These strategies, when used effectively, improve and increase students' verbal/augmented output. Come learn how to create communication opportunities that result in more genuine interactions with your students.

This session will be held in person at ESC 17 with health and safety protocols in place.
