This professional learning community Is for speech-language pathologists, interns and speech-language pathology assistants serving district or charter schools in region 17. The goal of the SLP PLC is to provide resources, updates, problem-solving and collaboration opportunities.


Important Session Information:


Come join the Region 17 SLP PLC's Ask the Expert series featuring Mary Beth Schmitt, Ph. D., CCC-SLP. Mary Beth is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She investigates child-level and treatment-level aspects of therapy that affect language and literacy outcomes for children with language disorders. She will discuss therapy dosage or recommended amounts of speech therapy treatment for optimal outcomes. There will be time for individual Q and A.

This meeting will be held virtually via zoom. The zoom link will be emailed 24 hours prior to the session.
