T-PESS
Training for T-PESS Appraisers

The Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System is the Commissioner approved appraisal system for appraising principals. T-PESS standardizes the evaluation process and expresses what principals should know and do. The system is intended to improve communication between a supervisor and a principal with fairness, transparency, and constructive feedback.  By using the results of the evaluation to guide their own professional development, principals will be able to chart a course for professional development.

This two day training session will equip those appraising principals with the knowledge and skills required to conduct the TPESS appraisal. Participants will be introduced to the evaluation rubic, goal setting processes, conferencing techniques, and the 21 leadership responsibilities. This training is required for administrators that will be appraising principals, and is optional for principals.

Participants must attend both days of the training to receive course credit.
