Working Smarter, Not Harder: Successful Tools for Efficient Evaluations

Are you struggling to keep up with the number of evaluations? Are your dyslexia teachers not utilizing the scores obtained in the FIE? Does your evaluation staff know WHY they are administering a particular subtest? This session will present different tools for evaluation personnel to increase their efficiency in completing evaluations, including dyslexia and speech/language evaluations. Participants will learn how to efficiently exam the data obtained to avoid over testing and unnecessary time spent on evaluations. Participants will leave with handouts they can utilize tomorrow, including sharing with multidisciplinary team members.

Objectives:

  • Evaluation Personnel will gain a deeper understanding of various tools used in different evaluations, including dyslexia and speech/language evaluations.
  • Participants will expand their test kit toolbox knowledge.
  • Learners will identify ways to tailor their evaluations to efficiently identify student strengths/weaknesses.

Presenter: Ashley Arnold, LSSP, NCSP Assessment Consultant
