The present level of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) is the first written statement in the IEP plan documentation of the child's ability and current achievement at the time the IEP is written.
The child's PLAAFP should be written in positive statements, but since it is important to establish the areas of focus for the IEP, it must document areas of weakness.
In this session, participants will focus on writing PLAAFPs that will assist with writing IEP goals.
