This training will review the responsibilities of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) and provide members with updated information and requirements that must be considered in program implementation including: identification, placement, reclassification, exit, monitoring, documentation, and assessment decisions for English Learners (ELs).
Participants will receive updates on program implementation and the LPAC Decision-making Manual and resources along with additional guidance due to COVID.
This training will certify and prepare each participant to go back to district to train all LPAC members in order to fulfill annual requirements and compliance expectations.
TEA will be rolling out a web-based training in phases beginning in early August to provide addtitonal support.
