NOTE: This training was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 30th.
Due to COVID-19 and our Education Service Center being closed, we have transitioned this training to a Zoom webinar on Friday, May 8th, from 1-3 pm.
This training teaches participants the fundamental principles of menu planning including knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to plan appealing menus that meet standards and use resources effectively.
In addition, this training will review the 2020-2021 Cycle Menu Toolkit which includes Lunch, Breakfast and BIC menus, food production record masters, and recipes. The Cycle Menu Toolkit incorporates the USDA meal pattern requirements and offers students a wide variety of menu items. Implementing a cycle menu system saves staff time and energy, and these menus will help ensure that your students are receiving nutritionally-balanced breakfast and lunch meals.
